The General Body (GB) meeting of ViBGYOR is conducted every year in the month of April or May. ViBGYOR Executive Committee has 15 members; the nominees of the seven founding organizations will be permanent members of the Executive. And the rest eight will be elected from the General Body.

Membership:
- There are two main categories of membership at VIBGYOR:
- 1. General Body Membership for individuals with at least one year involvement in the organization of ViBGYOR Film Festival
- 2. Preliminary Membership for those who want to be part of ViBGYOR, but never has been involved in the organization of ViBGYOR Festival.
Anyone residing in India, meeting the above criteria can become a member of the ViBGYOR Genral Body, provided the membership request is endorced by a member of the ViBGYOR Executive Committee. The membership to ViBGYOR GB is individual-based, with an exception in the case of the seven founding organizations of ViBGYOR, who can send a nominee each every year to ViBGYOR GB as per its bylaws. Out of the 150 membership to the General Body, 100 memberships will be kept open and 50 will be reserved for members of the ViBGYOR Film Fraternity and other supporters of ViBGYOR
Activists, filmmakers and others working in different areas pertaining to the political concerns of ViBGYOR will be co-opted to the General Body as Honorary members.
There is also a provision for Life-time membership at ViBGYOR.
